
Rayna is a committed and passionate senior at the Academy for Information Technology, UCVTS, Scotch Plains, NJ. Her interest in research and fascination with artificial intelligence has driven her to make a meaningful impact in her community while actively striving to create more widespread change. Through her collaboration with a PhD student, Rayna discovered a deep passion for research and witnessed first-hand the powerful role artificial intelligence can have in addressing real-world issues.
Motivated by a desire to use her research for greater good, Rayna has led several initiatives to support teen mental health in her town. These efforts include mental health awareness sessions, creating focus corners in libraries, and hosting community events like dog shows to promote emotional well-being and connectedness.
Rayna’s experience in both research and community outreach has given her valuable insight into how emerging technologies like AI can be harnessed for social good. Inspired by this, she continues to advocate for innovative solutions that prioritize mental health, foster resilience, and empower youth to thrive.
